Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient service
- Manage financial aspects including budgeting, billing, coding, and fiscal management to optimize revenue streams
- Supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Maintain compliance with healthcare policies, HIPAA regulations, and safety standards across all clinic activities
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for medical records management and documentation accuracy
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support nursing and medical management functions in acute care or dental settings
- Handle human resources responsibilities including employee relations, conflict resolution, and staff development
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure proper management of medical administrative support tasks like medical terminology application and record keeping
- Facilitate communication between team members, patients, insurance providers, and external agencies
Experience
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administration within a dental or clinical environment
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing teams in a healthcare practice setting
- Extensive knowledge of dental office procedures, practice management software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix), and EMR/EHR systems (eClinicalWorks)
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and health policy compliance
- Background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and managed care processes
- Experience with medical records management, electronic health records (EHR), and billing procedures in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with nursing or acute care environments is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to handle complex administrative tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
