Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of concrete forms, rebar, and other structural components according to detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to support various construction tasks such as concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and masonry work.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Support carpentry activities including framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roof installation.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling for supplies like concrete mixers, formwork materials, and heavy equipment.
- Follow detailed construction plans and technical drawings to interpret specifications accurately for tasks like stucco application, caulking, plastering, and restoration projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering strictly to construction workplace safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely.
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret construction plans effectively.
- Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, cutting, pumping, and formwork construction techniques.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of safety protocol adherence on job sites.
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete cutting, masonry work, flooring installation, and metal stud framing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in tasks such as plastering or restoration projects.
- Understanding of construction site experience including working with schematics for roofing, renovation projects, or stucco applications.
