We are a rural Bar and Grill located on Sugar Island in the UP of Michigan. As a matter of fact, we are the only bar on the Island and we have a dedicated and friendly cliental. We do experience a busy summer season given our unique location
Duties
Greet and interact with customers in a friendly & professional manner.
Take drink orders and serve beverages to customers.
Prepare and mix alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks according to recipes or customer preferences.
Check and verify ID for legal drinking age.
Maintain cleanliness & organization of the bar area.
Monitor alcohol consumption & ensure responsible serving practices.
Operate a Square POS system, handle cash transactions & process payments.
Collaborate with kitchen and server staff to coordinate food and beverage orders.
Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
Assist bartenders by restocking supplies, garnishes, glassware, and ensuring all tools are sanitized and ready for service.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning spills, washing glassware, and organizing supplies to uphold health standards.
Support food preparation and service by bussing tables, handling food items safely.
Ensure food handling protocols are followed diligently during food service to guarantee guest safety and satisfaction.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly manner, taking drink orders, and addressing their needs promptly.

Experience
Prior experience in food service or hospitality environments such as restaurants, nightclubs, hotels, or catering is highly desirable.
Familiarity with POS systems enhances efficiency in order processing.
Experience in barista work or serving in a restaurant setting demonstrates strong customer interaction skills.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling safety standards, and kitchen experience is advantageous.
Previous roles involving bussing tables or supporting banquet events showcase your ability to multitask in fast-paced environments.
