Duties
- Assist experienced technicians with auto glass installation, replacement, and repair procedures.
- Handle glass materials carefully, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal in accordance with safety standards.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, fit, and install automotive glass components.
- Support the fitting of glass installation on various vehicle models, including dealing with complex ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations.
- Participate in vehicle maintenance tasks such as cleaning work areas, inspecting equipment, and performing light repairs.
- Learn to operate company vehicles responsibly for transporting tools and parts to job sites.
- Contribute to auto estimating processes by assisting with measurements and documenting work performed.
- Follow safety protocols related to power tool use, heavy lifting, and glass materials handling to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support additional services like window tinting, detailing, or auto body repair as directed by senior staff.
Qualifications
- Prior dealership experience or exposure to automotive service environments is a plus but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in automotive systems and repairs.
- Ability to handle hand tools and power tools safely while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks involving manual glass cutting or assembly.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and automotive glass materials is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude when interacting with clients or team members.
- Willingness to learn about ADAS calibration processes and auto estimating techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate company vehicles responsibly.
