Responsibilities
- Start up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure precise machining according to specifications.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery, including tooling changes, calibration, and troubleshooting issues.
- Handle materials safely using handling equipment and prepare raw materials for machining processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC equipment including CNC milling machines and/or CNC lathes within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in tooling setup preferred.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control purposes.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances.
- Factory or warehouse experience involving materials handling and packaging is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to the use of hand tools and other factory equipment.
