Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies with precision and creativity
- Decorate cakes and pastries using piping techniques, fondant, and other cake decorating tools to meet customer specifications
- Package baked items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Assist in food production tasks such as mixing doughs, preparing fillings, and assembling products for sale or catering orders
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Support in catering events by preparing baked goods and assisting with setup as needed
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations
Experience
- Prior experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related food industry role is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with cake decorating techniques and food presentation skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper kitchen hygiene practices
- Familiarity with packaging methods suitable for retail or catering environments
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or bakery setting is advantageous
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are beneficial
- Previous roles involving cooking, food handling, or culinary experience will support success in this position
