American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry/Intermediate Care Unit position at an acute care hospital in Alton, IL, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Intermediate Care/Telemetry Unit in a 158-bed acute care hospital

Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)

Patient ratio of 1:5–6

On-call is required for this position

Floating within scope required to meet facility needs

Every other weekend required

Charting via Epic (experience required)

Active IL RN license required; pending IL license may be acceptable at time of consideration — please indicate on application

Active MO state RN license required at time of consideration

Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation

Block scheduling is not available for this position

Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Standard travelers may work up to 18 months continuously, after which a 3-month break in service is required

Allied and non-clinical travelers may work up to 12 months continuously, after which a 6-month break in service is required
