Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide menus, and assist with seating arrangements as needed.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, demonstrating cocktail experience and beverage service expertise.
- Process sales transactions efficiently.
- Upsell menu items such as specialty drinks or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, managing special requests, and fostering positive guest relations throughout their visit.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant environment is preferred; casual upscale dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while multitasking efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety practices in the food industry.
