Job Summary
More than a job: bring your heart, your skills, and your scrubs- Hillsboro Health and Rehab is hiring nurses! We are seeking dedicated and compassionate NURSES (RNs and LPN/LVNs) to join our team as a Charge Nurse for the night shift (6pm to 6am). In this role, you will oversee patient care, manage nursing staff, and ensure that all patients receive the highest quality of care during their stay. You will be responsible for coordinating with healthcare professionals, administering medications, and providing support to patients and their families.
Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities during the night shift
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with established protocols
Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in patient conditions
Provide IV infusion therapy and manage catheter care as needed
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication regarding patient needs
Assist in triage and emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking skills to prioritize care
Support patients with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and other specialized needs
Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge planning
Valid RN/LVN/LPN license in the state of practice
Experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities preferred
Familiarity with EMR systems such as PointClick Care
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and patient assessment techniques
Previous experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or geriatrics is highly desirable
Ability to perform essential nursing skills including venipuncture, phlebotomy, medication administration, and wound care
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on dignity and respect for all individuals
