Instructional Aide subs are needed to provide essential school-based support in a per diem, flexible role. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom environments
- Offer 1:1 assistance or assist small groups as directed by teachers and school staff
- Help with daily routines, transitions, and encourage classroom participation
- Implement behavioral support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and provide personal care as needed
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom setting
Requirements for School Compliance:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Current TB test as required by school regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting if needed
- Willingness to obtain or maintain necessary clearances prior to starting
Preferred Experience and Qualities:
- Prior experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, but not mandatory
- Dependable, patient, and able to work well within a team
