- Minimum of 1 year of banquet or fine dining serving experience
- Professional demeanor with a polished, well-groomed appearance
- Reliable transportation; punctuality is essential
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Positive, energetic, and service-oriented attitude
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to high-end event standards
- Can carry 10 trays
This is not an entry-level position. Applicants without prior banquet or fine dining experience will not be considered.
Duties
- Set up banquet rooms with tables, linens, utensils, glassware, and centerpieces to prepare for upcoming events
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously to guests during events, ensuring timely delivery and presentation
- Clear tables promptly while maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the event
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, and bussing duties as needed to support smooth service flow
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns, providing excellent customer service and fostering positive guest relations
- Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure health standards are maintained
- Collaborate with catering staff and kitchen team to coordinate service times and special requests for events
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality environment is highly preferred
- Strong guest services skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences
- Knowledge of banquet service techniques, food handling safety, and catering operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members effectively
- Experience with restaurant or hotel service environments is advantageous
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, serving standards, and coffee or beverage service is a plus
