Build Your Career. Grow With an Independent Agency.
The Phoenix Insurance is one of the largest specialty P&C agencies in the country. We go beyond just selling policies: we build lasting relationships through personalized guidance and proactive renewal reviews, with a specialty in complex and high-value coverage (including a niche in collector vehicles) that most agencies never touch. No two accounts look the same, and neither will your days.
Maybe you've spent years in customer service, retail, or a captive agency and already know how to take care of people. Or maybe this is genuinely your first job in insurance. This is an entry point, not a dead end. We're building this role specifically as the first step into a producer career, and we'll invest in your licensing and training to get you there, but we're looking for people who actually want that path, not just a paycheck in the meantime. If you're naturally curious, take feedback well, and go looking for the next thing to learn instead of waiting to be assigned it, this is built for you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serving as the first point of contact for clients: answering questions, spotting coverage gaps, and identifying opportunities to add value
- Supporting producers by processing policy changes and prepping accounts for renewal and remarketing conversations
- Reviewing policies for accuracy and compliance, and keeping client data current in our quoting and CRM systems
- Learning the fundamentals of risk, coverage, and consultative client conversations, the same skills our producers use every day
- Contributing ideas that make our workflows and client experience better, not just following the script
What You'll Need
- 0 to 2 years of customer service experience (P&C experience is a plus, not a requirement)
- Active P&C license, or the willingness to earn one within your first 60 days; we'll help you get there
- Genuinely curious about how insurance works: you ask "why," not just "how"
- Coachable: you take feedback and actually use it
- Detail-oriented and organized enough to keep policies and files airtight
- Comfortable learning new software; Microsoft Office required, EZLynx a plus
