PURPOSE
Responsible for managing all facets of the day-to-day HR operations as well as handling and overseeing all of the organization’s human resources practices and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Also responsible for implementing human resources strategic initiatives and changes.
The goal of the human resources manager is to maintain a fair, equitable, and positive work environment for all associates while supporting the mission of the organization.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting, Interviewing & Hiring
· Responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring associates while working closely with hiring managers and making evaluations and recommendations pertaining to interviewing and hiring.
Benefits
· Implement, administer and communicate employee benefits programs within organization including life, health, dental, disability insurances, pension plans, PTO time, leaves of absence, etc.
· Constantly monitor benefits market and work with consulting agency to market insurance to ensure we are offering competitive benefits
Workers Compensation
· Investigate, document and report any work-related injuries to insurance carrier as necessary
· Work with carrier and broker regarding workers compensation claims, claims experience, etc.
Employee Relations
· Serve as link between management and associates to help resolve work related/employee relations problems
· Work directly with department managers to assist and advise them in carrying out their responsibilities and resolving various matters including coaching when necessary
· Respond to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, discrimination allegations and other issues & complaints
· Work with managers and associates to ensure that proper action and documentation is taking place when employee relations issues come up
Legal Compliance
· Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation
· Responsible for compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all HR and employment matters which includes ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state requirements; conducting investigations and maintaining records
· Consult and work with legal counsel as appropriate on various employment matters
Policy & Procedures
· Review, make recommendations and maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending company policies, procedures and practices
· Partner with associates and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations and insure proper compliance is followed
Compensation
· Assist in administering compensation system to ensure compliance and equity within the organization
· Conduct wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rates
Performance Management
· Administer performance review cycle & follow through to completion for all managers and employees
· Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.
· Work with managers to assist in their career development as well as their associates that they supervise
Training
· Prepare and conduct training for employees and associates on various topics including employment laws, policies, recruiting, interviewing & hiring, terminations, promotions, harassment, company benefits, career development, etc.
Terminations
· Responsible for terminating or being involved in terminations and separations of associates
· Prepare associate separation notices and related documentation for terminated associates
· Conduct exit interviews to find out various information regarding separating individual’s employment experience with the company including reasons behind the separation
· Monitor and handle unemployment claims as necessary
File & Recordkeeping
· Develop and maintain a human resource filing system for personnel transactions, benefits, etc. that meets company information needs & legal requirements.
Other duties
· Handle special projects as necessary and other duties as assigned
· Must be able to travel (10%)

· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Must possess flexible and efficient time management skills and have the ability to prioritize workload
· Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to remain objective and resolve problems or issues while ensuring that laws and policies are followed and that privacy and respect is maintained
· Must possess strong organizational skills
· Ability to work well with associates at all levels within and outside the organization
· Microsoft Office experience required
· Ability to do presentations and provide training on various company and HR related topics
· Communicate with global entities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 10+ years of Human Resources experience required

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
