Responsibilities
- Perform asbestos abatement procedures following strict safety protocols and industry standards to ensure safe removal and disposal of hazardous materials
- Conduct mold remediation efforts by identifying affected areas, applying appropriate treatments, and preventing future growth
- Assist with water damage restoration projects by extracting water, cleaning affected surfaces, and drying spaces efficiently
- Support fire restoration tasks including debris removal, cleaning soot and smoke residues, and restoring damaged areas
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform cleaning, demolition, or repair tasks as needed during restoration projects
- Operate specialized equipment such as carpet cleaners, moisture meters, and containment barriers to facilitate effective remediation
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, safety procedures followed, and materials used to ensure compliance and quality control
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction, and Abatement of Asbestos is a must.
- Knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures and safety standards is a must.
- Familiarity with mold remediation techniques and water/fire damage restoration processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for documentation and compliance purposes
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is a must.
- NYS DOL Asbestos Certified is a must.
- 40 Hr. Hazwoper Certified is a must.
- OSHA Construction & Safety Certified.
- Asbestos medical physical & Clearance.
- Respirator medical cleared & fit tested.

Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour
