Director, Critical Care, Orthopedics/Medical Surgical, Baptist Downtown, Job Responsibility:

Responsible for the overall supervision, delivery, and quality of nursing care within the assigned departments

Provides leadership for clinical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care

Oversees the selection, training, performance management, and discipline of all nursing personnel

Ensures appropriate staffing levels and resource allocation to meet patient care needs

Manages departmental budgets, supplies, and equipment procurement, ensuring cost-effective operations

Drives quality improvement initiatives, patient safety standards, and regulatory compliance

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to support operational and strategic goals
Experience Requirements:
-
5+ years of progressive clinical experience required

Progressive leadership/management experience required
Education and Certifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
-
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
-
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
