Job Description:
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our long-term care team. As a CNA in a long-term care setting, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while preserving their dignity and promoting independence.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or mental conditions to the nursing staff promptly.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate, as directed by the nursing team.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transfer techniques to prevent injury to both residents and yourself.
- Help maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including making beds, tidying rooms, and organizing personal belongings.
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff.
- Adhere to care plans and assist with the implementation of nursing interventions under the guidance of licensed nurses.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in NY.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to providing the highest quality of service to residents.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
