We are hiring a skilled and reliable Commercial Door & Glass Technician to support service and installation work throughout the Richmond and DC region. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving, and working independently in the field.
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial door systems, including both mechanical and basic electrical components
- Service pedestrian doors, including adjustments, part replacements, and general repairs
- Assist with installation of hollow metal doors and frames (training provided)
- Install and maintain automatic sliding and swinging door systems
- Replace and install storefront and commercial glass as needed
- Work with door hardware such as hinges, closers, locks, and exit devices
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls, including occasional emergency or after-hours work
- Handle a variety of materials including aluminum, steel, and wood doors

What We’re Looking For:
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
- Experience in commercial doors, glass installation, or related technical fields is a plus (not required)
- Background in low-voltage systems, construction, or maintenance is helpful
- Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused
