Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service from arrival to departure
- Manage restaurant reservations using various table management systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring accurate booking and seating arrangements
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally, handle reservation inquiries, and communicate wait times effectively using proper phone etiquette
- Maintain organized waitlists and seating charts to streamline guest flow and reduce wait times
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host/hostess station area
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and positive attitude
- Previous experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
