Job Overview
You will be a sales associate at a cigar store. We need candidates that either already have knowledge and experience in cigar retail, or ones who are willing to learn. Will discuss commission/bonuses after onboarding and making sure the candidate is knowledgeable in the product and customer handling.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Engage customers through active listening to understand their preferences and recommend suitable products or services
- Process transactions accurately using cash handling, cashiering, and cash management procedures
- Support sales initiatives by promoting store promotions, loyalty programs, and new product launches
- Handle basic math calculations for pricing, discounts, and financial transactions with precision
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting stock counts using retail math skills
- Maintain a clean, organized sales floor to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Support loan processing or financial services as needed, including explaining product features and completing necessary documentation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers
- Basic math proficiency for handling cash transactions, retail math calculations, and financial software operations
- Familiarity with banking or financial services is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to perform 10 key typing tasks efficiently for data entry or transaction processing
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and responsibly
- A proactive approach to learning new skills related to sales, loan processing, or financial software applications
