Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling procedures
- Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed diligently to uphold hygiene standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service efficiently during busy hours
- Contribute to catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of dishes with precision
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or culinary setting
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling safety protocols
- Experience in fine dining environments or the food industry enhances your candidacy
