POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Float Teller/Member Services Representative (MSR) is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to members of our credit union across multiple branch locations in southeast Georgia. This position requires flexibility to travel between branches, the ability to quickly adapt to different team environments, and a strong commitment to member satisfaction. The Float Teller/MSR will conduct financial transactions, provide account support, and promote the credit union’s products and services while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide professional, courteous, and efficient service to members at multiple branch locations.
- Process financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash advances.
- Open new memberships, establish accounts, order debit cards, originate wire transfers, and assist with digital banking enrollment and support.
- Assist members with account maintenance, including address/phone/email changes, account titling updates, name changes, and fraud reporting.
- Promote and explain credit union products and services to meet member needs.
- Make proactive outbound calls to members to enhance relationships and promote services.
- Ensure compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA and OFAC.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and member interactions.
- Balance cash drawer and resolve discrepancies according to policy.
- Travel as needed to support branch staffing requirements and assist during peak hours or staff absences.
- Collaborate effectively with branch teams to maintain service excellence across locations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including tasks outside the standard job scope.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Cash handling and financial services experience preferred.
- Flexibility to travel between branch locations within the credit union’s service area.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer systems and digital banking platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
