Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of baked goods, pastries, and confections with attention to detail and presentation.
- Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to create visually stunning products.
- Handle food production tasks such as mixing, baking, portioning, and packaging items efficiently and safely.
- Maintain strict food safety and handling standards in accordance with industry regulations.
- Assist in food preparation for catering events or restaurant service, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality items.
- Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, managing inventory, and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients, answering questions about products, and accommodating special requests.
Experience
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a commercial food environment.
- Strong background in food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food industry standards related to catering or restaurant settings.
- Demonstrated skills in culinary techniques such as knife skills, cooking methods, and food presentation.
- Previous experience working in food production or food preparation roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of packaging processes for retail or wholesale distribution is a plus.
