JOB TITLE: Echocardiology Technologist
DEPARTMENT: Radiology
REPORTS TO: Cardiopulmonary Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs diagnostic medical echocardiography procedures as ordered and according to protocols of the cardiologist.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Explain procedure to patient and position patient according to protocol for best possible imaging.
- Competently perform echocardiography procedures according to cardiologist protocol.
- Administer applicable contrast media according to cardiologist protocol.
- Review studies for overall quality
- Organize daily work schedule for minimal wait times.
- Transmit imaging to cardiologist for interpretation through established secure connection.
- Interact professionally with patients, colleagues and other co-workers to efficiently complete daily tasks.
- Participate in continuing education activities as required by Caldwell Medical Center.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
