Job Description
GL Communications is seeking a certified Professional Engineer in electrical engineering discipline to assist and lead current and future consulting projects. Prior experience with Transit Systems, including Automatic Train Control (ATC) or Railroad Signaling is preferred but not required. This position will require daily interaction and discussion with GL clients and therefore strong communication skills are required. The individual should have prior experience leading projects involving design and construction management/project management to successful conclusion. Past experience in the following subjects is highly beneficial:
- Communications Systems and Infrastructure - Wired and Wireless
- CCTV and Video Management Systems
- Public Address (PA)
- LED Signs
- Power Systems
- Security and Access Control Systems
- Communications backhaul and IT-Related Infrastructure
The requirements for this position are:
- Must have a Bachelor degree in Engineering or science discipline
- At least 5 years of professional work experience
- Must hold an active Professional Engineer license in either electrical (preferred) or civil engineering
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
- Must be willing to travel locally within the Washington DC metropolitan and Baltimore areas
