Summary
The Deer Park Attendant is responsible for providing high-quality care to animals housed at Tweetsie Railroad.
This role involves feeding, cleaning, exercising, and monitoring the health and behavior of the animals.
Responsibilities
Feed and provide water to animals according to their specific dietary needs
Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, cages and work areas regulary
Observe and report any signs of illness or distress in animals to Deer Park Manager
Ensure all areas of the Deer Park are clean, organized, and safe for both animals, staff and guest
Report any maintenance issues to the Deer Park Manager
Provide excellent customer service to visitors and answer any questions they may have
Use the cash register to sell feed cones to visitors
Qualifications
Ability to complete assignments according to instructions promptly that fit management standards
Must be 16 years or older
Ability to speak and work effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations
Possess high professional and personal integrity
Possess a friendly personality and the desire to provide quality service
Required to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Ability to lift/move at least 50 pounds
