Duties
- Thoroughly wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using established sanitation procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Assist in organizing and storing clean items in designated areas for easy access by kitchen staff
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and uphold health standards
- Support the kitchen team by promptly responding to dishware needs during busy service periods
- Adhere to all sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a clean work environment
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems is a plus but not mandatory for this role
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
