TruckHouse is seeking a Senior Composite Technician who can lead advanced composite operations with the precision of an engineer and the instincts of a master craftsman. This isn't just about laying up parts – it's about owning the entire infusion process, mentoring the next generation of composite builders, and setting the standard for what world-class composite work looks like.
You'll lead resin infusion operations from mold prep to final cure, creating carbon fiber and fiberglass components that define the performance and aesthetics of vehicles built for the world's most demanding environments. This role requires someone who understands that perfect vacuum integrity, strategic resin flow, and flawless surface finish aren't optional – they're the baseline when expedition reliability is on the line.
What You'll Do
- Lead complete resin infusion operations including mold prep, bagging strategy, vacuum setup, resin flow planning, and quality assurance
- Mentor composite technicians on infusion fundamentals, tooling prep, trimming/finishing, and assembly techniques
- Perform advanced trimming, drilling, edge finishing, and composite assembly on complex parts
- Establish and enforce best practices for surface prep, laminate integrity, and composite workmanship
- Drive continuous improvement through process documentation, root-cause analysis, and team coordination
- Support wet layup, composite repair, prototype development, and R&D projects as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2–5+ years of hands-on experience with resin infusion composites
- Expert understanding of composite materials, vacuum systems, resin behavior, and laminate fundamentals
- Strong experience with trimming, finishing, secondary bonding, and composite assembly
- Proven ability to lead operations, mentor technicians, and manage multiple parts through production
- Ability to read technical drawings and execute layup guides with precision
- Track record of producing high-quality parts with excellent surface finish
- Comfortable in a fast-moving manufacturing environment with changing priorities
- Safety-conscious approach to working with chemicals, respirators, and power tools
Bonus: Experience leading infusion operations, developing SOPs, supporting tooling design, or improving production flow.
Why TruckHouse
- Lead composite operations for a scaling manufacturing company
- Competitive compensation with clear growth trajectory
- Health benefits, PTO and Paid Holidays
- Work alongside exceptional craftsmen who share your standards
- See your parts tested in Baja, the Arctic Circle, and everywhere in between
- Access to Nevada's outdoor playground for testing and recreation
