SUMMARY:
The Network/Infrastructure Engineer will be a key contributor to our IT operations, focusing on hands-on engineering, security, and project execution. You will collaborate on major initiatives like software rewrite projects, home-brew application support, potential office buildouts, and cybersecurity enhancements, infrastructure management, while building expertise to lead the team in the future.
Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
- Design, implement, and maintain hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructure (Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, networking).
- Administer and optimize VMware virtualization environments, including VMware Horizon View (VDI) deployments and VMware ESXi clusters (HA/DRS, storage, host management, vCenter).
- Support major projects, including software rewrite initiatives, homebrew application maintenance, and custom integrations.
- Handle network expansions for new offices (e.g., 10+ locations), hardware setups, and vendor integrations.
- Provide escalated support for helpdesk issues, including after-hours on-call rotation.
- Assist with developing and documenting runbooks, escalation paths, and security policies.
- Evaluate and onboard third-party vendors for managed services/backup.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to infrastructure architecture.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity Analyst to support companies’ initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related. 5-7 years of experience in a Network/Infrastructure Engineer position, with 3+ years of experience in senior role. Certification (CCNA, Azure Admin, CompTIA+) preferred. Project experience (migrations, buildouts, software integrations). Familiar with Cybersecurity incident response, breach prevention, and tools like Crowdstrike/ThreatLocker.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to relate to people on many levels (both internal and external). Ability to communicate with people tactfully and with diplomacy and professionalism.
Language Skills: EXCELLENT written and oral communication skills. Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, percent’s, etc.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems with customers and staff. Strong initiative and decision-making skills required. Creative thinker with data driven analytical aptitude.
Computer Skills: Microsoft skills required (Outlook, Excel, Word). Strong hands-on experience with VMware Horizon View (VDI) and VMware ESXi clusters/vCenter; VMware certifications (VCP-DTM, VCP-NV, or equivalent) highly preferred. Experience working in a hybrid environment, PC and Mac.
Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, stay organized and focused throughout the day.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Must show up on time for all required shifts. In office, no work from home flexibility.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
