A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
As an assistant general manager you’ll oversee the daily operations of our restaurant and lead and inspire our front of house staff. Working closely with the general manager, you’ll coordinate the planning, organizing and training necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
The assistant general manager is responsible and accountable for the following duties (not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary):
Staff hiring and the performance, development, and retention of FOH employees through engagement, training, feedback, and coaching.
Reviewing financial statements, overseeing FOH scheduling, maintaining inventory, and ordering supplies to ensure the restaurant is operating at peak efficiency and reaching sales goals while minimizing costs.
Ensure all safety, security, food handling, and sanitation policies are consistently executed.
Motivate and educate your FOH staff to embody true hospitality, administer legendary service to maintain and attract customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
A team player with a hospitality first mentality and a keen willingness to learn
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
Proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: Scheduling, company policies and procedures, personnel management, basic recordkeeping, point-of-sale computers and software
Two years restaurant management experience preferred, but we will train the right restaurant candidate who shows a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment
Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time

WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time position includes day and evening shifts as well as weekend shifts.
