Duties
- Develop and implement tailored coaching plans that address individual goals related to employment, life skills, and personal development
- Conduct assessments to identify strengths, needs, and barriers faced by clients from underserved communities
- Facilitate training sessions on workforce development topics, including employment law, social work practices, and case management strategies
- Mentor clients through the job search process, including resume building, interview preparation, and onboarding support
- Collaborate with employers, community organizations, and service providers to coordinate resources and support systems
- Maintain detailed documentation of client progress, service plans, and case notes in compliance with organizational policies
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure sustained success in employment or community integration efforts
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in a coaching or mentoring capacity
- Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations related to labor practices and workplace accommodations
- Background in addiction counseling or social work is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in teaching or training diverse populations within workforce development programs
- Must be certified
- Familiarity with working with underserved communities and understanding cultural competency principles
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for mentoring others toward independence and achievement
