Description:
The Machine Equipment & Tooling Assembly Technician is responsible for assembly and development of standard equipment including implementation of electrical components for error proofing or positional reference. Skill sets required include: blue print reading – mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical, mechanical apptitued using basic hand tools for assembly and fabrication of components as required. Additional responcibilities includes support and training for operation and run off standard equipment in conjunction with standard tooling.
The main missions of the role are to:
▪ Assembly of standard equipment to the BG design along with integration of tools, automation and poke yokes as required while identifing opportunities to maximize efficiency/reduce through-put.
▪ Flexible to work in a cross functional capacity assembling tools as needed
▪ Train and coach PML’s, PPTL’s, Control Specialists, Maintenance on machine funtionality
▪ Prepare and maintain the integrity of Process Specifications, Equipment Technical Definitions and HSE requirements.
▪ Propose and implement product and process improvements (Lessons Learned) to fulfill geometric requirements
▪ Apply Group standards under the Faurecia Excellence System (FES), as well as other internal and industry standards.
▪ Work in a safe mode by always adhering to HSE requirements
▪ Respect the environment and security of the PPIC facility
▪ Ensure application and adherence of: Code of Ethics/Management and ICB compliance
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
▪ Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or technical certificate/training with 3 years practical experience.
▪ Effective leadership qualities/team player
▪ Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills
