Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Production Line Lead to oversee and guide daily operations on a semi-automated production line processing dry materials. This hands-on leadership role involves coordinating workflow, verifying line setup, maintaining quality and productivity standards, and mentoring team members.
The ideal candidate has strong manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and leadership skills to ensure consistent, efficient production in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and oversee a team of 1–4 employees to ensure efficient production
- Communicate job expectations, specifications, and production goals
- Assist with training and mentoring production staff
Production & Equipment Oversight
- Verify line setup, materials, and equipment prior to production runs
- Collaborate with team members to calibrate equipment for each order
- Assemble and disassemble production equipment as needed
Quality & Performance
- Conduct in-process checks to ensure quality and filling specifications are met
- Monitor productivity, safety, and quality metrics to meet daily goals
- Identify operational issues and implement solutions
General Duties
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production area
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or industrial experience
- Forklift certification with at least 1 year of experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Mechanical aptitude and experience operating equipment
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly
- Proven leadership or team lead experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Preferred:
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Physically active role requiring operation of machinery and equipment
