The Housekeeping team at Westminster-Canterbury is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment for residents within a retirement community. This department focuses on the routine cleaning and upkeep of residents’ on-site apartments while respecting privacy, dignity, and individual preferences.
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the Housekeeping and Laundry teams, leading with a set of established operational, quality and financial standards for the department. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all tasks and projects are completed as assigned, using the proper equipment, processes and chemicals. What You'll Do In This Role
- Oversees daily Housekeeping and Laundry operations across multiple sites in accordance with WCCB policies and procedures.
- Supervises, trains, schedules, and evaluates a team of approximately 30–35 Hospitality team members.
- Ensures staffing and daily assignments meet resident, guest, and operational needs.
- Conducts inspections and monitors the condition of campus buildings, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment; reports maintenance needs.
- Leads staff meetings and collaborates with other departments to coordinate housekeeping and laundry services.
- Maintains the department in an inspection-ready state and ensures required logs and documentation are current.
- Builds positive relationships with residents, clients, and community departments.
- Coordinates special projects and ensures team members have the resources, supplies, and equipment needed to complete assigned work.
- Maintains proper security and use of WCCB property, equipment, supplies, and operating funds.
- Enters accurate resident ancillary charges in PointClickCare (PCC).
- Coordinates with Admissions and Renovations to schedule resident move-outs and move-ins related to construction and renovations.
- Adjusts daily assignments and staffing to respond to changing turnover and service needs while maintaining routine resident services.
- Ensures chemicals are properly logged, stored, labeled, and accompanied by current Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Identifies and addresses regulatory deficiencies through documentation, coaching, and staff training.
- Ensures compliance with applicable health regulations, CMS guidelines, OSHA standards, and CDC infection control protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to climb at least 2 flights of stairs and be able to stand and/or walk for period of time.
- Must be able to perform job responsibilities with pets present.

- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
The Experience You'll Bring
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising, scheduling, or coordinating teams in hospitality, housekeeping, laundry, environmental services, or a related operational setting.
- Minimum of 3 years of hospitality experience.
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards, workplace safety, chemical handling, and infection prevention and control practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
Preferred
- Background in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or other regulated environments.
- Supervisory background in both housekeeping and laundry operations.
- Knowledge of regulatory inspections, compliance documentation, and deficiency correction.
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) or a similar resident management/billing system.
- Compensation Range: $51,409 - $55,741 (based on relevant experience)
