At La Segunda Bakery & Café, we are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team. As a member of our kitchen and service team, you will be responsible for both food preparation and customer service. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
- Prepare and assemble food for guests in a timely manner.
- Ensure orders are accurate and complete.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety procedures and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Operate kitchen equipment, including slicers and knives, safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory and assist with stock replenishment as needed.
Customer Service:
- Greet customers with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of orders before serving to customers.
- Address customer concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide an exceptional dining experience by maintaining a guest-focused mindset.
Additional Duties:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized environment during downtime.
- Proactively seek out tasks to minimize downtime and support team members.
- Adhere to uniform policy and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Actively engage in learning new skills and improving performance.
Job Requirements & Skills:
- Strong commitment to guest service and satisfaction.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet 6-minute ticket times.
- Positive, upbeat attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, punctual, and able to multi-task effectively.
- Prior customer service and food service experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs regularly.
