About the Role:
We are hiring compassionate 1:1 Support Staff to provide behavioral and emotional support for youth in out-of-home care across Talbot and Queen Anne’s Counties. Based in or near Easton, this position involves providing one-on-one care in home, school, or community settings. You will help youth manage emotions, navigate conflict, and build positive routines.
This role is funded through a state contract with the Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS).
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Supervise and support youth on a 1:1 basis
✔️ Use trauma-informed de-escalation and behavior reinforcement techniques
✔️ Assist with daily activities and social engagement
✔️ Maintain session logs, behavior notes, and service documentation
✔️ Ensure youth safety and comply with all mandated reporting laws
Requirements:
21+ years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
High School Diploma/GED + 2 years experience OR Associate’s degree + 1 year in human services
Must pass background check and fingerprinting
Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings or weekends
Required Training (Upon Hire):
Preferred at time of hire, but must be completed as part of onboarding:
CPR and First Aid
