The Alternative to Meds Center is a licensed holistic residential, behavioral health, and substance abuse treatment facility in Sedona, Arizona. We specialize in helping patients taper off of and find alternatives to medications. Our program is both holistic and integrative. Through the use of an environmental toxin removal program, orthomolecular supplementation, organic healthy diet, and naturopathic treatments, residents work to restore balance to their brain chemistry, thereby reducing symptoms and reducing the need for medications and other substances.
Our residents travel to us from all over the world to participate in our immersive residential program. We are a small organization of around 50 team members delivering care for up to 17 residents at a time.
We are currently hiring one experienced Chef to join our team in a Management Capacity, to prepare & serve Dinner (for our residents) on Mon, Tues, Wed, & Fri, from 2-8pm. Our ideal candidate will have some flexibility within their schedule to provide PRN coverage for other shifts/meals, on an as needed basis. A typical shift serving Dinner begins at 2pm, and wraps up around 7:30 - 8pm.
*Note: The schedule outlined here reflects our current needs, but could possibly be adjusted a bit, or be shifted down the road, based on the applicant's availability, and the current team's ability to switch around shifts. As long as all meals are sufficiently covered, we're happy to accommodate. Please apply to discuss options!

Currently seeking the right individual to cook beautiful, clean and delicious meals in a therapeutic environment. Applicants should have a strong background in food service, be creative, and self-motivated. At least 3 years experience preferred, pay depending on experience. AZ Food *Manager's* Card required (though that can be obtained after hire).
We have a "food is thy medicine" philosophy, and all of the meals that we provide are free of gluten, dairy, soy, refined sugar and caffeine, and made with love. Ideal candidate has some experience in this area, but we're happy to train as well and provide recipes for someone interested in learning. Our chefs typically cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for 20-25 people (clients and staff). We're very open to creativity and encourage our Chefs to cook their favorite meals, as long as they can make whatever adjustments necessary to ensure the recipe follows our diet. :)
There is also the possibility of building out some programming for the Chefs to work more directly with clients, holding classes/groups around reading food labels, juicing, sprouting, and healthy cooking classes (for example, how to make sauerkraut). *This is not a requirement, but a possibility in case this is of interest to any applicants.
