Position Summary:
We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) who has a passion for working with children, adolescents, adults and families. The ideal candidate enjoys a private practice setting with the flexibility to manage their own schedule while being supported by a collaborative clinical team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and families
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and ethical guidelines
- Collaborate with parents, schools, and other professionals to support client progress
- Participate in occasional team meetings, trainings, and peer consultations
- Maintain compliance with all licensing, confidentiality, and ethical standards
Qualifications:
- Licensed in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT)
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
- Experience or strong interest in working with children, teens, and families
- Excellent communication, organization, and clinical skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing a caseload in a private practice setting
Preferred Experience:
- Training or certification in play therapy, CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Background in school-based or family systems work
