About Birchstone
Birchstone Psychotherapy & Assessment and Birchstone Mental Health Urgent Care are a growing, clinician-owned practice in Vancouver, WA, serving the greater Portland–Vancouver area. We offer outpatient therapy alongside a mental health urgent care line that helps clients who need to be seen quickly. We're expanding our clinical team and looking for therapists who want a full caseload without the administrative grind of running their own practice.
The Role
You'll provide individual therapy to clients across our outpatient and urgent care services (ages 5+), with the flexibility to focus on the populations and presenting concerns you do your best work with. You set your own schedule and manage your own caseload — we handle the referrals, scheduling support, credentialing, and billing so you can focus on clients. Our team includes an on-staff prescriber, so clients who need medication support are covered.
What You'll Do
- Provide evidence-based individual therapy to a caseload you build over time (many clinicians target ~25 sessions/week, with a cap of 35 — the pace is yours to set)
- Complete timely, quality clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with our prescriber and clinical team as needed
- Optionally support our mental health urgent care clients for faster-access appointments
Compensation
This is a 1099 fee-split arrangement with a competitive clinician share and no cap on your earning potential — the more you choose to see, the more you earn. Because you're an independent contractor, you control your hours, your calendar, and your clinical approach.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Washington license as an LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT — or associate/pre-licensed credential (LMHCA, LSWAIC, LMFTA) working toward full licensure
- Ability to see clients in our Vancouver, WA office
- Strong clinical documentation habits and professionalism
Preferred:
- Additional Oregon licensure (a plus, not required)
- Experience with a range of ages and presenting concerns
- Comfort with, or interest in, higher-acuity/urgent-care work
