About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on ERP and database professional to own the reliability, integrity, and continuous improvement of our ERP system and supporting data infrastructure across our manufacturing environment. This is an operational role — you will be in the system daily, not just triaging tickets. You'll work directly with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Quality to keep production data accurate and business processes running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
ERP & Database Administration

- Perform ongoing DB2 database maintenance on IBM iSeries (AS400), including parts and inventory data, order management, backups and system health.
- Execute and audit order price adjustments and price releases, ensuring data accuracy across transactions.
- Troubleshoot issues related to work orders, BOMs, inventory transactions, MRP, and costing.
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and user guides; assist with upgrades, patches, and regression testing.
Month-End & Year-End Operations
- Support and help streamline recurring business-critical processes including physical inventory counts, budget entry, and custom pricing entry.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort and error during close periods.
- Ensure data integrity across inventory, WIP, labor reporting, and financial transactions at period close.
Reporting & Integrations
- Develop and maintain queries, reports, and dashboards for Operations, Finance, and Quality using DB2 and available reporting tools.
- Monitor data accuracy and support integrations between manufacturing, accounting, and business systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with production, accounting, engineering, and management to improve processes and system efficiency.
- Lead user training and onboarding; serve as the go-to resource for ERP questions across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supporting ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of relational databases, with the ability to write and troubleshoot queries.
- Strong PC, networking, and general IT troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both production and office personnel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines (month-end, year-end).
Preferred / Strongly Desired
- Experience with IBM iSeries (AS400) and DB2 database.
- Familiarity with LANSA ERP framework.
- Experience with parts/inventory database administration in a manufacturing context.
