RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Responsible for communicating with the truck drivers and customers via phone or email for dispatching.
·Responsible for relaying work orders, route rescheduling and assisting the driver with any inquires.
·Responsible for keeping track of the driver's location and a number of hours as “Safety is our number one priority "...
·Dispatching drivers on contracted loads by relaying pickup and delivery information as well as routing.
·Responsible for advertising and recruiting owner operators to become part of the Liberty Team.
·Minimizing empty miles, maximizing revenue-generating miles
·Updating board throughout the day with equipment and load info
·Maintain professional relationships with customers via phone and email.
· Must have knowledge of EDI systems.
· Must have understanding of Hours of Service Regulations and ELD Systems.
·Reporting detention, OOS & D immediately.
·Staying up to date on freight trends
·Knowing backhaul/head-haul markets and the relevant pricing
·Checking broker creditworthiness to ensure a prompt payment history
·Computer proficient (Outlook, Word, Excel)
·Great organizational skills
·Self-motivated
·Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members
