As a Performance Strategy Manager, you love harnessing employee feedback to make work better, are passionate about helping employees develop their careers, and thoroughly enjoy improving large, complex processes. This role has end-to-end ownership of Wayfair's performance processes — including annual performance reviews (for corporate, frontline, and sales populations), mid-year check-ins, and bi-annual promotions — for all global employees. You'll independently design, test, execute, and continuously improve these processes, partnering closely with HR Systems/Tech, Talent Business Partners, and business stakeholders. You're also excited to shape how GenAI and automation tools to transform performance management at Wayfair — from helping employees write stronger reviews to rethinking how the performance framework itself should evolve. You will report into the global Performance Strategy lead.
Owns end-to-end design, testing, execution, and continuous improvement of Wayfair's global performance cycles — annual review (corporate, sales, and tenure), mid-year check-ins, and bi-annual promotions. Partners with HR Systems/Tech on Workday requirements, build, testing, launch, and troubleshooting, applying working knowledge of Workday and our homegrown calibration tool, Calibration Way.
Independently defines project plans and manages execution through cycle prep, build, testing, and launch, solving tactical and operational problems as they arise (e.g., system outages, resourcing gaps). Works independently with Talent Business Partners, Talent Relations, and calibration facilitators to execute globally.
Analyzes cycle data to evaluate the outcomes and effectiveness of performance management, and translates findings into action plans and recommendations both for the Performance Strategy team directly (e.g, process and/resource improvement), Talent Business Partners, and/or business leaders.
Leads the charge on how Wayfair supports employees in using GenAI to write more effective reviews — defining the overall approach, recommending tools, and building the trainings and enablement materials needed to drive adoption across all employees.
Co-leads the regular review and update of our Performance Assessment Framework to ensure it stays current with the evolution of GenAI and its impact on roles at Wayfair.
Partners with internal Talent teams and the Performance Business Council (a group of AD+ leaders across the org) to identify needs and make process decisions focused on simplification and building a high-performance organization, including how GenAI and automation should reshape performance processes more broadly.
