Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Python Automation Developer to join our Business Support team and develop, enhance, and maintain automation solutions supporting automotive multimedia systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Python development experience, automation platform experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and support software used for automotive multimedia and head-unit environments.
You will work closely with the lead developer to implement enhancements, debug issues, provide technical support to internal users, perform testing and root cause analysis, and continuously improve automation tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain automation platform features using Python.
- Support the lead developer with code changes, enhancements, debugging, and implementation activities.
- Provide technical support to internal users of automation tools and platforms.
- Troubleshoot software issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions for automotive multimedia systems and head units.
- Perform software testing, quality assurance, and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation tools and workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reliability, and automation processes.
- Support production tools and internal automation platforms.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow Agile development practices and participate in team development activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of hands-on Python scripting/development experience.
- Strong experience developing automation solutions or automation platforms.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience performing root cause analysis and resolving software issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Total professional experience should not exceed 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FastAPI.
- Strong experience with Linux environments.
- Experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience with hardware control scripting such as I2C, GVIF, and Serial.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols such as:
- CAN
- CAN FD
- Automotive Ethernet
- Experience with AWS or GCP.
- Experience developing automated testing solutions for automotive multimedia systems.
- Familiarity with automotive software development environments.
- Experience supporting production tools or internal automation platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD and Git.
- Experience with debugging and software development tools.
- Exposure to AI agents or ML models is a plus.
