Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and facilitate efficient patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up care using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Maintain detailed and organized medical documentation, including medical records, ICD coding, and procedural notes in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Manage incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries professionally, and facilitate communication between patients and providers.
- Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of clinical areas while adhering to safety protocols for infection control and patient safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and management of electronic health records (EHR).
- Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills to provide compassionate care and clear instructions.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of ICD coding, medical records management, and inpatient/outpatient procedures enhances your ability to support diverse clinical needs.
