Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Attorney specializing in Wills, Trusts, Estates, and Real Estate law to join our dedicated legal team. In this role, you will provide expert legal counsel on estate planning strategies, trust administration, probate processes, and a broad spectrum of real estate transactions. Experience and Base Pay Package
While our primary focus is attorneys with 1–3 years of experience, we will also consider attorneys with 3–6 years of experience. Compensation for such candidates will be negotiated separately based on experience, portability of business, and overall fit. The base pay for a candidate with 1 - 3 years of experience is $75,000 to $120,000. Candidates with 3 to 6 years' experience will qualify for a higher base pay package.
Duties
- Draft, review, and finalize wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate planning documents tailored to client needs
- Advise clients on estate tax implications, probate procedures, and trust administration best practices
- Build and maintain a client portfolio; cross-sell services (trusts, probate, business succession planning)
- Handle real estate transactions including purchase agreements, title reviews, closings, leases, and land use issues
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and document drafting
- Negotiate terms for real estate deals and estate settlement agreements to ensure favorable outcomes for clients
- Assist clients with complex legal issues involving environmental law considerations in property transactions
- Provide guidance on related areas as it intersects with real estate and estate planning
- Maintain meticulous records of all legal documents and correspondence in accordance with law office procedures
- Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure comprehensive client service
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience practicing estate planning, trust administration, probate law, and real estate transactions
- Strong familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Demonstrated ability to draft clear legal documents and conduct effective negotiations
- Experience handling litigation related to estates or real estate preferred but not required
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail in legal drafting and documentation
- Prior legal administrative experience supporting a busy law office environment is advantageous
