Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment
- Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold sanitation standards
- Maintain facilities by performing light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs as needed
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, commercial cleaning procedures, and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and understand chemical handling safety procedures
- Excellent attention to detail coupled with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Good customer service skills to interact professionally
