We're looking for someone skilled in all areas of the line for a breakfast / lunch spot. You'll need to be strong at the egg station, grill, salads/sandwiches and prepping. We're a scratch-made kitchen so you'll be responsible for making homemade gravy, apple cider sauce, hollandaise and more. We'll train you on our recipes, but we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with making over easy eggs, omelets, pancakes, french toast, country fried steak, etc.
For the right person, this role could turn into a leadership role as we move into season. We're growing our team and our restaurant is growing year over year and so there is a potential leadership position opening in the Fall. This candidate does not NEED to be interested in a leadership path, but if it's of interest to you, it may be available based on the needs of the restaurant as we move into the future.
Shifts start at 6am and we close at 1pm (close at 2pm during season hours) so we're generally out by 2pm or 3pm at the latest. There may also be opportunity to take on additional shifts for occasional in-house catering opportunities if that is of interest. (We're happy to train on more of these culinary skills as needed.)
We are a small kitchen and a tight crew that works together as a team. There is no room for ego or toxicity so a team mentality and a positive attitude is an absolute must. If you cannot deliver on this, do not apply. We expect everyone to do a little of everything, as well, so you will not just be on eggs all day, but rather working on prepping as you're cooking, as you're able to do so, and then likely hopping over to help do a load of dishes, and then helping clean the grill at the end of the day. We all do a little of everything and operate with a one-team mentality.
Pay is DOE. We generally like to start on the lower end (around $20 and do an evaluation after 30 days and adjust to your actual performance). However, this is negotiable and decided after an interview, which includes working in the kitchen for an hour or two to show your skills.
