CARPENTRY PRODUCTION OPERATOR
ASI VISUAL DISPLAY manufactures and ships Visual Display Products worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate basic hand tools such as drills, saws, measuring tapes, hammers, nail guns, etc.
- Safely operate shop machinery as directed
- Assemble materials to create final products using tools, machines, glue spreaders, press
- Cut and assemble custom wood crates for product shipment
- Daily cleaning of workspace, machines and hand tools
- Lift and carry merchandise as needed
- Packing, wrapping, labeling, and/or shipping products
- Load and unload trucks
- Accurately stage and sort products for loading
- Provide manual labor assistance on various tasks as assigned in our warehouse
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Good communication and writing skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to read and understand equipment operation manuals, Safety Data Sheets, and other literature as required
- Basic computer knowledge preferred
- Good mathematical skills
- Carpentry skills preferred
- Troubleshooting
- Critical Thinking/Problem solving
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 75 lbs.
- Good hand/eye coordination
- A moderate to high degree of repetitive motions using right, left, or both hands and/or feet may also be required
- Requires wearing personal protective equipment when necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
