Job description:
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial settings in a safe manner.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Perform electrical installations according to local and national electrical codes.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to coordinate electrical work with construction or renovation projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices.
Experience:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electrical trade.
- Proficiency in all voltage systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
