Job Description:
Location: Statesville, NC
Compensation: ~$80,000/year and up based on mileage rates, loading/unloading pay and delay pay
Safety Bonus: You are eligible to earn up to $6,000 per year in safety bonuses in addition to the above compensation
Retention Bonus: Retention bonus of $2,500 ($500 paid at 3 months, $1,000 at 6 months, $1,000 at 12 months)
Days/Hours: Most of our flour deliveries start between 4am and 2pm, and that is when most of our drivers are working. However, we have some important customers receiving flour earlier and later than those hours, and we will need our drivers to be flexible regarding their start times. Drivers will also need to work weekends as needed.
Equipment Used: Semi tractor and tanker trailer, pumps, valves and hoses

What you’ll be doing:
The duties of this job will include delivering bulk flour in a safe, courteous, timely and professional manner. You will connect and disconnect hoses for loading and unloading bulk flour. You are responsible for food safety.
Requirements to be successful in this position:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Class A CDL. Tanker endorsement preferred, but not required
- At least 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience, 3 years preferred
- For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
- Available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Available to work nights as needed
- Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
- Experience driving in the snow and ice
- Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks and successfully pass Bartlett’s road test, which will include a proper pre and post trip inspection of the vehicle
Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:
- This job can be physically strenuous
- Climb into and out of the cab multiple times per shift
- Climb a ladder and steps 10 or more times per day
- Lift 50 or more pounds daily
- Drive and work in adverse weather conditions
- Hook and unhook hoses, open and close valves
