Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient caregiver to provide in-home support for an elderly woman recovering from a stroke. The ideal candidate will provide companionship, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships while helping others maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage in friendly conversation and activities.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed, including mobility assistance and transfers.
- Prepare light meals and encourage adequate hydration.
- Laundry
- Changing bed linens
- Washing dishes
- Sweeping and light cleaning
- Keeping living areas tidy and organized
- Assist with medication reminders (if applicable).
- Accompany or provide transportation to medical appointments and errands, if needed.
- Monitor for changes in physical or mental condition and communicate concerns with the family.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Follow the established care plan while promoting dignity and independence.
Requirements
- Reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assist with mobility and light physical tasks.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license .
Preferred:
- Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- Previous professional caregiving experience.
- Experience caring for stroke survivors or individuals with neurological conditions.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience with mobility assistance and fall prevention.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
